Another look at Kriyaji’s influence on yogamonks.
The practice is a culmination of over twenty years of daily exploration into finding out how the practice of yoga can lead to greater internal connections and clarity of place and purpose. Seventeen of those years of self practice in the ‘dark’ I now have the blessing of my current teacher Kriyaji, who’s presence is responsible for the work as it now stands.
(By Dark I refer to stumbling around in a land of supposed ‘yoga‘ without having any proof or ‘light’ on where the practice can lead. After all the art of yoga is found in the precision of it’s action and when one ‘knows’ it’s destination it is easy to illuminate the way for those following)
Another look a Tai Chi’s influence on Jonathan Monks
When I met Caroline, she said I look as though I floated along like a balloon. Since then Caroline continued showing me how ungrounded I was and thanks to her constant help and support, I now relish each moment now grounded in the remarkable planet which quietly spins beneath us. I am very lucky to know Caroline is a my good friend and there is no greater joy than assisting her in her workshops.
Master Mark Raudva…
(…Took one look at me and laughed..)
… is for me a true master and as such a huge inspiration. His classes challenge me to my very core and yet I love the Tai Chi he shares with us. Every class for me is not only a masterclass in tai chi but also in teaching. Not only a master practitioner, learned Taoist (and someone who’ll cringe at what I am writing, but hey, it’s my site and I feel this to be true) but a master teacher. To know I have the blessing to teach this Tai Chi is, well, flattering and fantastic! However, whether this ever comes to pass is another point as for the moment, the joy for me is in the study and practice of this style of Tai Chi.

Is a truly gifted osteopath. In fact by far the most gifted practitioner in body work I have ever come across. He does this with great humility and greater aplomb. Go to Gothenburg to see him, you will not be disappointed, though nook in advance because he’s always very busy. Mate, I love you. You are the best. Looking forward to studying with you for many, many years.
Nilce Silvera & Simon Welby.
Both truly great body workers in their own right, both conscious enough to avoid the infighting found within ‘Rolfing’/'Structural integration’ and the many other names it now goes under. Thank you. I am still enjoying your words of considerable wisdom during my treatments.
Lovely guy, genuine yogi adventuring deeper into the inner physical anatomy of Asana. He’s one of the few practitions I’d go to for body work, he’s got great hands, deep understanding and the ability combine the two which is rare. I recommend getting body work from him, or take a trip to Brighton and take a class at his studio ‘Natural Bodies‘
