Classes

Yogamonks classes:

On the face of it the classes are pretty physical, challenging though to the body and mind and bringing about health, fitness and strength. However, when doing our chosen practice, even if it may be only recent addition in its long evolution, the ‘how‘ in which it is done can take us back beyond when the style began to the very origins of why mankind began doing it.

What you can expect from class: 

Bear in mind this work aims to bring the practitioner to a deep sense of internal connection, so you know where you and your body are in space and time (this present moment).

You can expect at the beginning of a class what appear as simple movements, which when practiced correctly lead you to a deep internal understanding or connection. There is an emphasis on the systematic mobilization of the body in order to unstick any stuck parts and some of the reasons for this are:

Because they inhibit ones ability to be physically mobile, healthy and  eventually being unstuck makes it easy for you to able to sit still.

After mobilizing your body, you’ll flow through various set routines which may include: flavors, Spinal movements, back heart breathing, Enzo, Hatha, Namaskar…. which are all really good fun.

The end of a class is dependent of YM teacher as they all enjoy different ways of closing the session. I like to end with one of my sequences, or an in-depth look at an Asana and sometimes a Pranayama practice.

    Thanks so much for the treatment, my yoga session with Beth was so much better than it has been for over a month and my body feel aligned! I know the correction isn’t over but thank you.

    Hello , I took some classes with you some years ago .Right now I am a teacher in Venezuela and a professional fitness trainer , I just would like to keep in contact in case you come some time to my country (you could stay with us if you like ) so that my male pupils could believe that they can move freely even if they are man . They need to believe that they are or can be flexible again , but is so hard for them to believe this .
    I hope they get to now you , if that’s going to help them .Any way I also hope you can come here and teach us how to move better.
